With the new year upon us, we are very excited about the boat show calendar for 2022. Although last year’s superyacht shows were still affected by the global pandemic restrictions to different extents, the majority of the shows went ahead and with great success.
We personally really missed the buzz of the boat shows and really enjoyed being able to meet our clients and industry colleagues in person again.
So, what has 2022 got in store for the superyacht boat show calendar?
Miami International Boat Show, 16-20 February 2022
The Miami International Boat Show and the Miami Yacht Show have joined forces to create the Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show, one of the largest boat and yacht events in the maritime calendar. The on-land portion of the event will take place at the newly reimagined Miami Beach Convention Center and Pride Park. The in-water components of the show will take place at Sea Isle Marina, One Herald Plaza, Museum Park Marina, and IGY Yacht Haven Grande at Island Gardens.
Dubai International Boat Show, 9-13 March 2022
Dubai Harbour, United Arab Emirates
From the show’s biggest boat ever to the Adastra Trimaran – an elegant long-distance triple hull superyacht, this show promises to impress. Superyahct brands Azimut, Cranchi, Feretti, Gulf Craft and Princess Yachts are announced to reveal some of their latest superyachts at the show.
Palm Beach Boat Show, 24-27 March 2022
101 S Flagler Dr, West Palm Beach, FL 33401
Located along the waterfront and Flagler Drive in Downtown West Palm Beach, FL. The show will feature more than $1.2 billion worth of yachts and accessories, including hundreds of boats ranging from 8-foot inflatables to super yachts nearly 200 feet in length.
The MYBA Charter Show, 25-28 April 2022
Marina Port Vell, Barcelona, Spain
As a Professional Trade Show, the MYBA Charter Show, with its long history and dedication to quality, is a business occasion and a true celebration of yachting. It brings together the world’s leading luxury charter professionals and provides them with the opportunity to appraise some of the finest yachts available for charter, meet with captains and crew and explore an exceptional array of ancillary services.
The Mediterranean Yacht Show (MEDYS), 30 April – 4 May 2022
Port of Nafplion, Greece
The MEDYS is an exclusive B2B event that brings together brokers from around the globe. The 2019 edition saw 102 luxury crewed yachts and 450 international brokers from 31 countries. This year’s MEDYS promises to be another impressive event with s great line up of superyachts.
TYBA Yacht Charter Show, 6-10 May 2022
D – Marin Göcek, Turkey
The TYBA Yacht Charter Show after being warmly hosted by the Yalıkavak marina since the first show in 2018, is now moving to Göcek, an exciting new location emerging as the new hot-stop for Turkish yachting. The relocation to Göcek represents a reinvigoration of the show. The prestigious D – Marin Göcek, a five-star marina and home port for superyachts, will host the show starting from 2022.
Cannes Yachting Festival, 6-11 September 2022
Cannes
Founded in 1977, the Cannes boat show takes place in the beautiful French city every September and showcases almost 600 boats, including motor yachts, superyachts, catamarans, tenders and sailing yachts. The in-water show in the Bay of Cannes takes place in two of the city’s ports, the Vieux Port and Port Pierre Canto.
Monaco Yacht Show, 28 September – 2 October 2022
Port Hercule, Monaco
The MYS is divided into two main exhibition areas: afloat and on the quayside. Afloat, +100 superyachts and +50 luxury tenders are displayed by the most renowned builders and brokers in the market. The Monaco Yacht Show is world-renowned for the exceptional quality of its superyachts and their impressive length. Among the +100 units on display, +40 new models are unveiled as world premieres each year. The fleet has an average length of 50m and mega yachts exceeding 100m.
Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS), 26 – 30 October 2022
801 Seabreeze Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316
Located steps from the beach in sunny South Florida, FLIBS spans nearly 90 acres across three million square feet of exhibit space that is connected by an intricate network of water and ground transportation services. The five-day show attracted over 100,000 attendees and 1,000 exhibitors representing 52 countries with more than 1,300 boats on display in 2019. Products range from sunglasses to superyachts and everything in between.
Antigua Charter Yacht Show, 4-9 December 2022
Nelson’s Dockyard, English Harbour, Antigua & Barbuda
Undoubtedly, Antigua Charter Show is a real highlight of the show season and certainly one that is not to be missed. The dates for 2022 charter show are yet to be announced.
